"Working at Domino's wasn't necessarily on my radar over 20 years ago. My primary reason for taking the job was because it was in walking distance from my home at the time and I didn't have transportation to get anywhere else. I was very shy when I started and was quickly pushed out my comfort zone as I took on the responsibilities of being a Customer Service Representative and taking orders over the phone. As time went on, I stepped even more out of my comfort zone as more opportunities were presented my way.
After 8 years of being with Domino's and feeling like I was ready to move on to something new and different, MAC Pizza came along and bought the 7 store franchise that I worked for. I was both nervous and excited at the same time. Nervous because it's always tough to transition to a different way of doing things and meeting new people but excited for a fresh start, doing what I already knew how to do.
I felt immediately accepted and embraced by the MAC Pizza family and was quickly recognized for my results, earning Rookie GM of the Year my first year as a GM with MAC Pizza. It was nice to finally be noticed and rewarded for my efforts.
My favorite thing that I have always appreciated about working for MAC Pizza over other companies is our culture and the fact that I have always had great leaders ahead of me that recognize my abilities and talents before I was confident enough to recognize them on my own. They've always been there pushing me to be my best and helping me go further in my career. I feel I have grown tremendously throughout my time with MAC Pizza."
